How it works
A working file stores shapes, stitch types, densities, underlay and lettering as objects. You can resize, recolor or change stitch settings and the software recalculates the stitches correctly, something that is not possible with a pure stitch file.
To stitch, the design is exported to the machine format, which for Bernina is usually EXP.
